Scheduling Easter Vigils
According to the sacramentary, "nightfall" is the earliest acceptable time to begin the celebration of the Easter Vigil. Taking daylight saving time into account, this will occur in the Archdiocese of Edmonton at 9:29 p.m. on Saturday, April 3, (a few minutes earlier in Red Deer), so Easter Vigil celebrations should ideally start no earlier than 9:30 p.m. MDT.
