Central Alberta Meet & Greet with Brad Henning & Andrew Papenbrock

Due to overwhelming interest expressed about the topic at this year's Central Alberta Youth Rally Topic, Don't Take Love Lying Down,  we are inviting parents, teachers, and youth ministry leaders, and young adults (18+) to come meet Brad Henning, this years keynote speaker. Also present will be Andrew Papenbrock, Associate Director of Youth Evangelization for the Archdiocese of Edmonton if there are any concerns.

This will be an opportunity to find-out what will be discussed, answer any questions you may have, and share in any concerns you may have about the topic being addressed, ask how you can bring-up or approach this topic with your youth, or how to answer some of the "tough" questions..

This is a free event.

  • Time: 7:00-8:30 p.m.
  • Date: Friday, March 2, 2012  (note: The Central Alberta Youth Rally is on Saturday, March 3rd, 2012).

Don’t Take Love Lying Down.

What type of theme and topic is this for a Catholic Youth Rally? Who is this speaker? Why aren’t we bringing in people to talk about the “Theology of the Body”?  Isn’t this the parent’s responsibility?  All very good questions that the Office of Youth Evangelization received from some concerned parents, youth leaders and parish pastors. All answered by the presentation and the incredible reviews we received after Brad’s visit last October .

Brad and his wife, Barbara, live in Puyallup, Washington, He graduated in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Seattle Pacific College and for the last 37 years he has worked with junior high, senior high, and college students throughout the Northwest States and Canada. His focus is teaching godly principles regarding sex and relationships and letters from students attest to the fact that Brad's talks change lives.

While he does not specifically mention it by name …anyone familiar with Theology of the Body recognises the message throughout Brad’s presentation. He speaks in a manner and language that all youth can understand. Not only are people laughing – they get the very serious message he gives.

This presentation is a great resource for parents and youth leaders who are unsure of how to start or answer some of the “tough” questions around this topic.  All are invited – young and old - to join us at the Central Alberta Youth Rally on March 3rd 2012.
