Together in Ministry

Our mission is the training and formation of Parish Pastoral Councils (PPCs).

Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) members have an obligation to acquire the background and skills necessary for their responsibilities. Orientation and training are essential for all incoming PPC members. Every member needs to know what is involved so that their contribution to the council makes use of all their gifts and talents.

Parish Pastoral Council committees should be trained by Parish Pastoral Council as to their roles and responsibilities, thus empowering each committee to carry out their mission in the parish.

The Catholic Archdiocese of Edmonton has developed a continuing program of formation and support for all PPCs called Together in Ministry. It consists of workshops delivered throughout the Archdiocese, with guidance and reference provided by the Together in Ministry Manual.
