Upcoming WYD Events
- One Rock Youth Festival 2012: August 17-18, 2012 in Rockyford, AB. A great opportunity to gather WYD groups as a team-builder in preparation for WYD 2013.
- Youth Day at Lac Ste. Anne: July 25, 2012 at Lac St. Anne, AB. This is a great opportunity for youth groups to come together one-year prior to WYD. This event is part of the Annual Lac.Ste-Anne pilgrimage (although it is not a requirement to attend the entire pilgrimage). Let us know if your group is interested in attending so that we can coordinate a small WYD gathering, including lunch.
- World Youth Day @ Home 2013/One Rock Youth Festival: In conjunction with the Diocese of Calgary, the One Rock Youth Festival will be hosted on July 26-28th, 2013: These dates coincide with the closing Vigil and Mass in Rio de Janeiro. This is a great opportunity for young adults that are unable to travel to share in the event. More details will be announced shortly.
- WYD Follow-up and Young Adult Ministry Gathering: There will be a follow-up gathering planned in Edmonton on September 20th to 22nd, 2013. This will be a gathering and celebration of all Young Adult Ministry. This is also being planned as part of our Archdiocesan Jubilee events. Keynote speaker will be Fr. Thomas Rosica (of Salt & Light TV) of WYD 2002 fame. Details will be announced at a later date.

NOTE ON AGE POLICY:
A reminder that our age policy for World Youth Day 2013 (in Rio de Janeiro) is that all Archdiocesan participants must be 18 at the time of travel in 2013. This includes participants travelling with relatives.
Parishes are reminded that minors should not be included in sponsorship or fundraising initiatives unless it is for an older family member.

Portugese Classes for World Youth Day!
Learn Brazilian Portugese for World Youth Day 2013! This is open to all World Youth Day pilgrims. Times are every Sunday from 6:15-8:00 p.m. (with a 15 minute break) at St. Joseph Basilica (10044-113 Street, Edmonton) in the Parish Hall, which is located just east of Teddy's.
