M for Madrid? Following the annual Corpus Christi Procession on June 6, Archbishop Smith met with young adults preparing for World Youth Day 2011. Several parish groups gathered at St. Joachim Parish to meet informally with the Archbishop to talk about the upcoming World Youth Days to be hosted in Madrid, Spain.  He shared with the pilgrims his own experiences of being at World Youth Day and how this pilgrimage is so very important for young adults. He talked briefly on the theme and what it means to be "Rooted and built up in Jesus Christ, firm in the Faith" (Col.2:7).

World Youth Day "is such a wonderful opportunity to witness to our faith and to realize that you are not alone in your journey," said Archbishop Smith. "You have a true experience of being the Body of Christ."

How important is it?
"I would like to see 1,000 young people from the Archdiocese go to Madrid! How can we, together, make this happen?"
