NMB features free concert of sacred choral music

Evangelizing through Culture

The fourth encounter of our Nothing More Beautiful series this year is something special. On Thursday, April 11, we will focus on the beauty of our faith as it is reflected in music. The Greenwood Singers will perform a selection of choral pieces from the rich tradition of Christian sacred music in the context for which they were composed – our place of worship. Archbishop Richard Smith and Music Director Robert de Frece will offer reflections on the individual pieces and the importance of fine music in enhancing the liturgical experience. All parishioners are warmly invited to join us for an evening of Evangelizing Through Culture – a beautiful way to celebrate the Easter season. This free concert begins at 7 p.m. on April 11 at St. Joseph’s Basilica. Children’s program is available for ages 3-9.

The evening will also be webcast live at www.caedm.ca/webcast, and broadcast at the following times on Salt+Light TV. Watch it either on TV (subscribe  through Shaw digital cable) or online at www.saltandlighttv.org.
