Our thoughts and prayers are with our brothers and sisters who have been affected by the recent floods in southern Alberta. The Diocese of Calgary is accepting financial donations to assist the victims.  You can help by sending a cheque payable to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Calgary, earmarked "Calgary Flood Relief fund," to the Pastoral Centre, 120 - 17th Ave SW, Calgary AB T2S 2T2.

Donations can also be made online through the diocesan website at http://www.calgarydiocese.ca.

Bishop Fred Henry thanks all for their generosity and rescue efforts. Anyone who is skeptical about the human condition, says Bishop Henry, only has to open their eyes to see how amazing people are!

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is also working to assist victims of flooding in southern Alberta.
Peter Ouellette of the Society’s Western Regional Council says SSVP councils that serve neighbourhoods hit by the worst flooding are receiving requests for help 10 times higher than normal. If you’d like to help out with a donation, make the cheque out to SSVPWRC AB Flood Relief, 563 Hodgson Road, Edmonton AB T6R 3L2. Tax receipts will be provided.
