The 2015 Alberta March for Life drew nearly 3,000 people to downtown Edmonton on Thursday. They came to pray, to encourage, to defend the sanctity of human life, and to demonstrate on behalf of those who have no voice. The March attracted young and old, women and men, priests and sisters, Catholics and non-Catholics. Among the marchers were Bishop Gregory Bittman and Archbishop Emeritus Joseph McNeil of Edmonton; Bishop Gerard Pettipas of Grouard-McLennan; Bishop Paul Terrio of St. Paul, Bishop David Motiuk of the Ukrainian Eparchy of Edmonton; Bishop Mark Hagemoen of Mackenzie-Fort Smith; and Archbishop Emeritus Sylvain Lavoie of Keewatin-Le Pas. Many thanks and prayers go out to the speakers, the dedicated event organizers from the Alberta March for Life Association, and to all those who joined in prayer!
