A Message to Subscribers to the Western Catholic Reporter:

As you are likely aware, Canada Post has given notice to its employees that puts it in a legal position to lock them out of work as of Friday, July 8. The Western Catholic Reporter, therefore, has decided not to publish either our regular print edition dated July 11 or any other print edition for the duration of the lockout or strike.

However, you can access the digital edition of the WCR free of charge during the disruption to postal delivery. Just click on the link and you will be taken to the digital edition of the current issue.

As well, the WCR will extend the subscriptions of paid subscribers by the number of issues not published during the lockout-strike.

When the work stoppage is over, we will publish a special print edition with all the local news as well as major national and international stories from the time during the lockout/strike.

The WCR website – www.wcr.ab.ca – also will be regularly updated during the lockout/strike.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes you, and we look forward to restoring all of our regular services.

Glen Argan
